Stateside
Maybe you’ve seen the colorful, glossy, trade size, magazine around town. Hardly labeled, with different artwork on the cover every issue. It’s hard to miss, but maybe also hard to understand what it’s all about.
We are Stateside Magazine. A hybrid art and culture magazine for the surrounding Santa Barbara area. We act as a mobile art gallery for individuals who may not want or be able to pay the overhead for a gallery here in town. We make it possible to print artists at no charge to them, by getting local companies involved and asking them to sponsor said artists. Everyone is involved : this provides advertising for the business, as they are showing support for their local artists. This allows local artists that other wise may not have been able to get this kind of exposure to have their work shown all over town. And this also allows the surrounding Santa Barbara area to enjoy artwork, and progressive content regarding local culture and environmentalism!
Mission: The mission of the publication is to find a sustainable way to have art work printed free of charge to the artist. We ask local businesses (or private parties) to sponsor an artist for one of our 45 day issues.
